Staci Davis, Psy.D earned her doctoral degree in psychology at The George Washington University in 2005. She has 10 years of experience working with a diverse college student population at Baruch College Counseling Center in New York City and treated adults in various group practice settings. She has facilitated adult psychotherapy groups, specifically focusing on relationship and identity issues. Dr. Davis has an interest and experience treating multicultural issues, trauma, PTSD, relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, emotional distress related to health issues, compulsive thoughts and behaviors and mood disorders. In addition, Dr. Davis treats women in domestic violence relationships and general women issues. She works with a dynamic modality, meeting her clients where they are at in the present moment while at the same time helping them explore unresolved issues that continue to cause discomfort in their lives. Dr. Davis is a certified yoga instructor and will bring a mind-body perspective to the treatment to help empower and teach her clients to manifest the life they desire. This will allow the client to explore how their individual psychological symptoms are being expressed physically and emotionally. Dr. Davis is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy) and will be an offered modality in her practice to heal trauma.
